welcome

Here you can find my travel journals and selected articles.  Also a tribute to the young Peruvian lady Roxana Condori Mallma.

I would be happy to hear from you; please contact me via email.

who i am

Foremost I live for my family and friends; I have a passion for meeting people and learning languages; I feel most complete when I get to run, do yoga, swim or ski regularly; I love good music and dance, as well as wine, coffee and food.  I cherish my bookshelf which contains everything from fiction, to philosophy, business books and travel guides; I studied Management because I am fascinated by organizations and their social systems and associate myself with the Business world.

I was born in Osnabrück, Germany in 1986. That’s where my roots are.

what i do

Through my work as a volunteer in Peru I got to know many people who live in circumstances which are worlds apart from ours - not necessarily in a negative sense. Farmers and fishers in the Peruvian countryside, micro entrepreneurs in a Honduran beach community, children and adolescents in Peru who fight horrendous diseases with an unshakable faith in better times to come.

These encounters have  been phenomenally inspiring and put an imprint on me and the direction of my life.

We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for

us. - E.M. Forester
